Well now as I said before, I spent five weeks,
In the Army Hospital with a broken ankle.

Well during that time there I met a Lt. Colonel.
That have a broken arm.

At the Army Hospital if you could walk around,
You could get a pass to go off post for the Weekends.

The Colonel an I wanted to  go to Monterey.

I had a very new Dodge Convertible.
But no Base stickers.

The Colonel said get the car down here, and he would put Stickers on.
Here I am hauling the  Lt. Colonel around.
With Officer stickers on my Car.
And I am just a Privet Class.

Well We are off to Monterey for the weekend.

Well stop here for a bit to eat and a few Beers too.
That Colonel sure liked to drink.
Well get a hotel at Army Rates like in those days 7.oo/night.

Next day we are off to the 17 mile drive near Carmel, Ca.

Then back to the Hospital by Sunday Afternoon.

Finishing my Boot Camp Training.
Then off to Fort Lenard wood, Missouri
